Awesome day, Winnipeg won, great day, we seen one home run, then a big giant can of coke exploded in celebration, the Chicargos coach had a massive barney with one of the umpires, they were both standing toe to toe with each other, happened right infront of us, then to show his annoyance at the end, he kicked sand over the umpires trainers & the crowd cheers, it was excellent

 

Loved it, with Winnipeg winning, we all went home happy, struggled with the rules mind, strike, out, no score etc, my brotber in law kept us informed with what was happening

3 hours of baseball, bits of music played throughout, clapping all part of the atmosphere, not one offside in the whole game mind

Ice hockey is a good shout at least Yerll see a scrap or two. Remember being hosted by the yanks in Iraq to watch the Super Bowl it was fucking shite

My first and only pro baseball game was at the Toronto Blue Jays Skydome in August 94

They were soundly beaten by the Cleveland Indians (no fancy fuckaround with Native Americans then) and immediately after that game the whole World Series was abandoned due to a strike by players opposed to a salary cap suggested by MLB owners

Not sure if it was something I said......

The strike lasted for over 230 days as I recall

Watch out Premier League this is how free for alls on salaries eventually finishes up
