Can't argue with any of that but it could be handled in a way, to explain why some can't buy season tickets and can only attend a percentage of games. I think the original point is, that the ST prices are too high to begin with, given the area where we live and the struggles that follow. The bonus of having a successful team is that you fill the stadium regardless, as folk will always find a way to go. For me though, I lost the buzz a few years ago, and the fear of missing out on big games just doesn't bother me. Don't get me wrong, I go through the emotions of the games like everyone else when we play, but I lost the urge to be physically part of it.

I can't disagree with your comments. The way/cost through the door for the first year is pricey, the benefits as we all know come in the second year on renewal of the early bird, and thats without the free drink many still get.

it's getting over the first year of expensive spewing up type of price that you pay. Once you are on board the cheap ride starts.

Walk-ups are expensive, but you can not budget beforehand with a walk-up, its performance is related with them. Business as we know is run on cash in the bank beforehand.

Plus if you are doing 10 or more walk-ups you must be nuts not getting a season ticket instead.

In a nutshell.

Walk-ups are and will always be expensive.

Season Tickets are expensive the first year in a cheapish there after.


Its a tough call if you are not working or are skint, but then again if you are on the bread line, then football should be a luxury, not a nessesatiy for families

Correct in one sense but once the team is playing well and winning like the season just gone,they come out in numbers and pay the walk-up prices which as we all know are top-of-the-shop prices. Proving the money is out there.

It's all about winning or being in the premier league and, Gibson knows that.

the extra 10k season tickets at prem prices in the prem will probably out strip the 20k season ticket cost the championship brings in.
