any of you lot, lovers of the beautiful game of cricket.

some turnaround from Stokes and McCullam after taking on a disastrous-looking team 10 or so tests ago.

doing all the right things and yes Ireland are a bit of a miss-match competitor but we are going about things in the right way.

Stuart Broad proving he still has it with the ball. Be over in 3 days this one. You might see a first session Sunday if you are lucky enough to be there.

the ashes will be the true test for bazball. A test series im really looking forward to.

I can't wait for the Ashes, going to Headingley for one of the days.

In my view if they continue playing in such an aggressive and exciting manner and we keep winning more than we lose, then the rest of the cricketing world will follow suit as they did when Australia became more aggressive in the ODI's.

It could just save Test Cricket but the level of T20 franchise tournaments now is getting ridiculous !!

Can't beat Test Cricket when it's at its finest. The new approach from England, What's not to like, its bold and exciting. Read a few months ago that the Aussies are going to copy what England are doing because they fear they will get smashed. How true I don't know.

I've got tickets for day 5 at headingley, we tried like fuck for other days, multiple applications but to no avail. Have a feeling day 5 won't be needed unless the weather causes delays.

yes, it's going to be an interesting few years in the last hope of saving test cricket. The way money is now in the game for the one-day type stuff. The players (the quality ones) will be swayed to the franchise side of things.

I'm old school so prefer test cricket but if I was a young up-and-coming player it would be who pays the most like life in general. Money is the main talker. I fear the end is coming, so will enjoy it while it lasts

yes, I've done Headingley a few times it's brilliant when the weather is out as well. The best ground on the circuit for the atmosphere when the ashes are on.

yes, the 5th day is now a gamble the way the game is now played. fingers crossed for you on that one.

They're certainly filling their boots against the Micks

Mike Peeler

yep. 440-2 blowing them out of the water. Game over tomorrow. It would probably be over by the end of today if they shot them in now. They'll bat for 550/600

TommyDickfingers

Going at over 6 an over, unreal even if it is against the Paddies

I think ideally they would like to get as many batsmen at the crease as possible to get some practice but it looks like Duckett & Pope thought fuck that, we're filling our boots.

Sorry, not a big lover of cricket, OTR would I be named a cricketist 🏏 😉 sorry, I'll get my coat 😔

Bud Wiser

What the fuck have those backward, sunken faced ditch diggers achieved to get the privilege of a Test match at Lords?

Stick to Lourdes, you worthless, 2nd world runts.

Not much of a contest this, but England have come a cropper in the past to such sides.....

Mike Peeler

A total mismatch of a game, even the money men must be kicking themselves if it's over in 2/3 days.

I understand the need for warm-up matches but surely a bit of competition is needed and not a walk-over type game.

They should for example play last season's county champions as a warm-up game. You would probably get more out of it as a player

Francks left peg

Was a shame for our middle order batsmen. No chance to have a warm up
