The Hollies were a most underrated band - there's a good documentary about them somewhere and how they changed after Graham Nash did a bunk off to CSN & Y

Its regularly shown on Sky Arts. Well worth a watch. You don't have to be a particularly big fan of their music to appreciate how good they were or how big they were in the U.S.

The one on David Crosby is good too, can't remember the name of it, it's on Netflix.
One of Neil Young's first band's was The Mynah Birds with that mad Mo fo Rick James, there's a good documentary on him too.

They reckon the only reason Lionel Richie got big was because James went mental freebasing, so Berry Gordy put all his efforts into Richie.
