Carrick must go.

Steffen was pretty much bombarded by Blackpool, putting the crosses right on top of him, surrounding him with big donkeys and in my opinion he was strong and made sure the ball was cleared far enough away.

As daft as it sounds I'm with Blott in that if we're going to play this way then we may have to accept the odd clanger.

Johnny Thunder

If Steffen was the complete package, he wouldn't be playing for us.

He is number 1 for the rest of the season.

He will make mistakes. He will fail to save the odd one that he should.

It will be interesting to see who we go with next season, and if they have the ability to play this way.

Big season coming up for Carrick

I dismissed all the speculation regarding whether Carrick will leave in the summer for a bigger club if for say the PL cone calling

Without disrespecting what he did last season, has he proven he's got what it takes to be a top manager, we all hope he has, he'll know more than us next season will be a massive challenge to be among the top 2 teams, realisticly we should be aiming for a playoff spot, 2 or 3 good seasons with us will have bigger teams looking at him, presently its to early to judge him

Nosmo-King

I like Carrick- and, indeed was a strong supporter for him getting the job.

Whilst last season's recovery was brilliant, the way our form tailed off towards the end of the season - almost like we had been found out and could do little to either counter or overcome this.

Hopefully, that dip is behind us. Plenty of players brought in - not sure if lack of experience and indeed lack of quality could make this season more challenging.

They will be if we keep getting beat. They better have some good signings coming in, not cheap gambles but proper signings or this is going south quickly.

Blott

2 games in and we have fans panicking. Give it 10 games

BoroRedKen

6 pts dropped straight away though Blotty.

You cant do that in this league.

We need to see where the team is at the end of this window.

We are never going to be as powerful as we were after January. That would have cost us about 30 million plus all the extras to keep Chuba.

We are back to a rebuild. Accept the fact we are unlikely to make play-offs.

Roughly what I said weeks ago

We are 3 to 4 years from having a decent side again

10th - unless we get rid of 'Hopeless Michael Carrick'

Bud Wiser

Don't worry, he'll reassure us that "They're a good group".  :bullshit:

Carrick's career was limited by his weakness physically and mentally. Did not fancy him but hope he proves me wrong again. He and his team are fannies.

He did fantastically well for us last season. We did fall away badly in the latter few games. Almost like with win at Sheff U was the pinnacle. Still think he will get us going this season despite or obvious flaws one of which is physical and mental weakness. Only Hackney, Crooks(not in the 1st 11 with a full squad and Paddy(may not be here) I could describe as not absolute soft as shite fannies, just like MC.

Our loans last season improved us immensely. MC takes credit for them, let's hope he delivers similarly again, albeit a very tough ask.

Chuba going beyond his control. The money needs to be spent wisely something we have not been good at. Chuba was the glue to our transition. Let's hope they have a quality replacement in mind.

No idea what they see in Rogers, he's 3rd division at best and is adept at losing possession, Cocoa is streets ahead of him. Barlaser is lower championship standard. Coulson has gone backwards and Engels is hopefully more Giles like in attack and a significant improvement defensively. Keeper is an improvement.

Coventry is a shithole that wasn't bombed enough in WW2. We just made them look like world beaters. Weak all over the pitch. Their second goal was a farce of overcrowding, lack of desire and weakness, Rogers lost his man, Wright the goal scorer and gets in the way of Lenihan to assist Wright.

The win midweek was 11 v 10 against a poor uddersfeeled, flattered us.

Off to get my Huggies on. Suspect this season may be much more tricky than last. Not a MC out fan as he definitely has some good managerial attributes but being a fanny isn't one of them.
