I am friends with 1 of Jack Whomes close family members and to this day they say Jack is innocent.

Never met Jack but he was popular and could "look after" himself and they are not too happy about him getting made out to be a bit of a bumpkin.

They are a private and quiet family and they say they know who is the shooter is (she has never said a name to me...) and are convinced it will all come out eventually.

As for Dave "Showbiz" Courtney...... Least said the better!!.....

I could be wrong, but from what I remember Whomes and Steeles mobile phones where used within the Rettendon area at the time of the killings. That isn't a coincidence, and was a big part of getting the convictions. I'm sure, again not certain, that Carlton Leach even said that Tucker told him he was going for a meet that Steele had organised. They probably didn't pull the trigger as such but they knew what they were leading them to.
