6th placed Boro travel to Plymouth Argyle who sit 23rd in the Championship on 17 points & bar far the worst GD, minus 23, no wins in 5 games, including 4 defeats on the bounce, their last Championship victory came on the 5th November a 1-0 win over Derby.
Please not a typical Boro game but a professional game with 3 points.

Boro beat Millwall last Saturday to jump back into the top 6 & following Watford beating West Brom the following day we now face Plymouth knowing victory we'll remain in the top 6 as we build up enough points over the festive period to not only, consolidate our place in the playoffs, but close the gap between ourselves & the teams above us, in other words, we need consistency

We start big favorites in this game & should go there with the confidence to come away with all 3 points, a good win & with Watford v Burnley playing could see us either increase our lead over Watford, or closer to Burnley. Watford have a game in hand over us, though a worse GD. If Watford do win then a Boro win will have us move within 4 points of Burnley, even if form team Blackburn lose at Millwall we'll jump to fifth place too

Hopefully, Michael Carrick keeps faith with Dijksteel as the only change from the team that started the game v Millwall

No Morris available till, fingers crossed, the Sheff Weds game

Interesting to see one of the pictures I've posted is regarding Neil Warnock stating that if someone shows interest in Chubba & it suits the club then he will go, same applied to Wilder who followed Neil Warnock, then in came Michael Carrick payed his in a completely different role which he excelled & on the back of it we were financially rewarded.

If Carlsberg did adverts then Latte Lath out Chubba in

It was wrongly quoted that after Boro lost to Plymouth in the 3rd round of the FAC back in 1973 Stan Anderson resigned, that wasn't the case, after losing to Plymouth on the 13th the Boro then travelled to QPR  a week later, drawing 0-0 & Stan sadly decided he couldn't take the club any further

My brother in law, who was born in Thornaby, now lives in Canada, his dad once played centre forward for Plymouth in the early 50's, made his debut against Leeds United with John Charles marking him
The story goes when my son in laws dad scored his 1st of two goal John Charles picked him & said, good goal son but you wont get another touch, he went on to score a 2nd goal, Leeds won 4-2

He decided to visit Home Park while he was down that part of the world & jumped on the bus to go to the town to get another to the ground, on pay he told the bus driver he's going to Home Park to visit his old playing ground, the driver recognised him, told him he enjoyed watching him play for Plymouth & took him straight to the ground himself, lovely story

Sorry lads we are going its one of the closest non London games too us although still a 3 hour drive and my brother is officially a Jinx, cant remember the last time he saw us win.

So get your 50p's on a Plymouth win probably 2:1 with our goal being pretty much the last kick of the game.

Kippers

Yep, can see Doaky scoring on Saturday.
A handsome win for the Boro. Why not ?

Everyone tipping a win usually means 1-1 😬

This has to be the away banker of the season so far. A team in freefall without their only decent player (Morgan Whittaker).

Surely even WE can't fuck this one up?

Will the Boro sing about Rooney's granny snagging antics.

When he was at Derby there was a funny moment when Boro sang "wayne Rooney, he's shagged all your nans"

To which Derby responded

"He shags who he wants, he shags who he wants, Wayne Rooney, he shags who he wants"

Good bants lads....good bants.
