Saved the country and world from the Nazis then had his life destroyed for being gay. Took till 2013 for him to be posthumously pardoned by the queen. Disgusting what happened to him

It is strange to think of what he went through.

I sure the illegality of homosexuality did not change fully until 1970/71.

The way the world is now it seems crazy that it was not that long ago.

Doesn't take long for ppls mindsets to change really and society. Never something that bothered me tbh. Live and let live. He shouldn't have been put through what he was after the enormous impact he had. One of maybe a handful of ppl on earth that could have cracked that code.
