Well Friday was a bit upsetting etc, but getting round to the fact that it is what it is.
Lots of stories from survivors and friends of stage 4 survivors too.
Last year I had an op to remove suspected cancer from my bowel. (Quite an ordeal) I was cleared and the op was a success (no chemo).
But my 1st year test revealed a liver lesion. So I have bowel cancer in the liver. I got to wait a couple weeks to start chemo infusion and tablets.
So the cancel should get isolated and hopefully frozen. Hopefully.
That's all I can concentrate on at the moment.
Not been easy as I haven't worked for the last few months, but I start a wfh job next month which will hopefully keep my mind busy.
I am getting pain down my right hand side at the moment, but manageable.  Hitting the protein shakes and improving my diet.

I cant even begin to contemplate 1 single oz of what you are feeling and thinking Kips.

I can and do say a prayer for you and everyone suffering.

Good luck with the new job.

Here when you need or want us mate.

All the best to you kippers.

Keep busy, keep active, get into our great outdoors (if you live local, you forget how lucky we are)... even if it's just a drive to saltburn or runswick bay and a 20 min walk along the beach (that's my go-to as a pick me up), and as you say, eat right 👍🏻

BoroRedKen

1 of the happiest memories i have is of Saltburn standing in our little shop in the pissy wet winter, no footfall, a tenner in till at the end of the day but happy as pigs in muck.

👍

I actually used the lift last week, first time in about 30 years!

Had a few false starts as our load was too heavy and in the end, two had to get off (I'd had a large fish & chips with scraps)... I blame myself

I live in Lancashire and I must admit I have been failing to get out recently. Like being in lockdown again. Will make more effort you are right.

You can only do what feels right for you kippers. There's no right and wrong.

What I can say is,  I have never come back from a 30 min walk and thought "I wish I'd never done that."

This is so true, within 24 hours following both my bowel & lung cancer Ops I was pounding up & down the wards, got some milage in I tell you, banter with the nurses & kept this up when I went home, there have been days during chemo when I haven't ventured out but most of the days even a simple walk to the shops, the avenue of trees, close to where I live has been enough to raise my spirits. Stay strong kippers x

Got my chemo today tablets version this time, with just the one month to go to complete my cycle, then tests & scans, most likely January to see where we are

Kippers stay strong keep fighting. You have the board behind you all the way.

Easy to say - but NEVER give up. Fight this dreaded condition all the way.

Good luck- and, genuinely, thinking of you.
