I've been diagnosed with metastasis tumor in my liver after MRI and PET scan.
 Meeting with oncology consultant in the morning and I am shitting myself.
  The tragic story of Chris Hoy has thrown me into turmoil. No symptoms except dull shoulder pain. Sleep pattern is all over the place.
  I know I am to start a course of chemo and that is all he is going to tell me hopefully.

Man another. What is going on? Something not right. The demographics of a certain age and colour of males diagnosed with these things just aint right somewhere.

There are quite a few lads on here Kipps that will know how you are feeling, what you are thinking and what may lay ahead treatment wise.

I have no doubt them lads will offer you any help/advice you want or need to know.

For now try to keep your chin up, i know it will feel difficult to, and look ahead not back mate.

Do not hesitate to use RR to "talk" mate.

Got a sister going through it at the moment, and like I said to her, it`s easy forme to say, but I honestly believe being positive is massive when battling this horrendous disease.... So I would say the same to you mate, keep them positive vibes in your head mate, you can do this mate....

Good luck mate. It's a situation most of us will be in a some point unfortunately. If you ever get to the point where they say they can't do anything I can get RSO. Cured many who were told they were beyond help. I doubt you're at that point though mate. You've likely got a battle on your hands but it'll bring the fighter out on you. Good luck mate

Very sad news Kippers & like all the others on here I hope things turn out well for you at the end of it all.

Might not be the time/ place but when is a good time to say what some think these days. My mother was told she has cancer a few years back she's getting on in life also. she was fine until they loaded that covid jab into her. Id like to see a chart of the huge explosion of late of people being told they now have cancer and see how many took the jab.

what ever it is something is not right for the amount of people now being told they have cancer.

So true, being positive is the biggest thing you have in your locker to fight it, dont ever think you'll lose, dont ever think why me, I havent,
I really believe my own positivity has been a major factor to were I am now at this moment, I have lost all my family, mam, dad, through to my two sisters & brother through cancer & thought you're not getting me yet, be strong, be brave & fight it head on.

My wife & I had booked to go to New York on July 5th, that was cancelled due to my operation that very day, my goal is to walk across Brooklyn bridge next July & I will.

All good advice, nothing to add other than my prayers that you'll be ok.
Oh, and eat well, healthy colourful fruits and veg, protein from chicken and eggs, nuts and seeds etc. You will need your body to be strong, feed it well and you'll be equipped to fight.
Give it a fucking shoeing pal, you can do it!
