Looking at the table we should have had another 5 points level with Leeds but if we can show consistency we've proven we are up there as one of the best teams in the Championship, consistency been the key word

Kippers

Ayling played better when he switched left.

Boro epitomise the championship.

Fucking bonkers.

teamboro

We were still dodgy at the back most of the second half most other teams would have capitalised on it but fortunately QPR are shite still a great win though 💪💪💪💪💪

Just what the Dr ordered. Great result.

A great result and win for us - there is no doubt. Now? We have to strive for greater consistency.

This year the Championship is not the strongest. As such, with the squad we have we should be challenging - and not only top 6.

QPR are a poor outfit. Maybe the result flattered us. Who cares?! 3 very welcome and much needed points. And a far better result than the team heading the division who couldn't beat a 10 man Rangers on Saturday!!

We have to have consistency, we have to perform better defensively, 4 goals suggest our offensive players have found their shooting boots. All we need to do is kick on!! Easy!!!!

ZiEgE

The result doesn't mean anything.

QPR are the worst team in the league at home, they haven't won a game there this season.

This just papers over the cracks.

The result does mean a lot, it stopped another team, no matter how bad we think they are, breaking their bad run against us, even at two nil we were under the cosh & had Dieng to thank for keeping that two goal cushion going in to half time 2-0 up

QPR came out in the second half, pressed us & as happened so much this season, we didn't buckle even when they scored & I would think the majority of us, me included, thought the equaliser was coming but Boro stepped up & scored a third & a fourth, a really good away win at a ground we don't do very good at, against a bottom team we usually struggle against & we come away with three points

Lets not forget as bad as people are making out QPR are, they didn't lose at home to Burnley, Coventry or Sunderland

I don't think it papers over the cracks more so shows that when we get chances our forwards can score instead of what has been happening so, so often this season, being wasteful

What a mix up! Of course it was. Apologies. Will wake up soon!

I've been critical of Carrick this season & Ayling & Azaz. For me, Carrick got the Ayling & Dijksteel decision wrong, Dijksteel should have started, Ayling started off poorly, constantly gave the ball away then sort of redeemed himself with that through ball to Azaz for our second goal. Ayling improved when he moved across to left back once Borges went off injured. Azaz when he's on his game is a top, top player but from flashes of brilliance he can go missing for 20 minutes, last night he was excellent, his footwork so good, possession on the ball as good as I've seen from him this season & the timing of Carrick changes was spot on, Howson hasn't played much lately & at 36 two games on the bounce will take a lot out of him was a good move

This morning i'm buzzing & unlike after the Coventry game I wasn't looking forward to the QPR & worried which Boro team will be turning up I'm excited ahead of the Luton game

C'mon Boro!

erimus74

Top performers - Azaz, McGree, Doak, McGree, Dieng

Morris nice & tidy in midfield, Conway another goal & constantly running, chasing down, Howson just does things nice & simple & a big miss when not in & around the team, ELL when he came on, winning the header against the tall CB then chased & got his own knock on & his goal, I just love his enthusiasm

Massive game on Saturday now! Would be great to be sitting in the top 6 going into the international break. (another one?!)

100% spot on Lids, up there with VAR

Big fan of Barlasar & so chuffed he scored his first Boro goal last night, a cracking curler too, yes bit fortunate with the one/two with the QPR defender but the finish was top drawer

Lathe Lath, you can see why we didnt cash in on him, hes an assett to us, fast, good in the air, he doesn't know what to do with the ball so how will defenders, he beat himself, the keeper & defender.

Intelligent counter point.

Can you tell me why we couldn't beat Portsmouth, Preston, Bristol or Coventry at home?

Can you explain how we make the play offs only winning half our home games?

Can you name a side in history that got promoted winning half their home games?

Can you tell me how we improved since last season?

Or perhaps which player has improved in the past 12 months?

Eriums, we've had better away results this season, West Brom as an example.

But if you can't beat the shit of the division in front of your own fans it's irrelevant.

I'm delighted Boro won but is it going to make a difference to the mediocrity of a season we're enduring?

Are we suddenly going to put 4, 5 or 6 results together? Going on our form so far this season and at the end of last, no that's not going to happen.

I hope I'm wrong.

Agree ZiEgE & I see where you're coming from, each game we've played really well in & im thinking as others have most likely, right now we can kickon & the following game, Watford apart from the final 15 minutes we've been awful.
No where im coming from in regards this result does mean a lot for the simple reason, if we had lost following the awful performance v Coventry then we would most likely have been looking over our shoulders than looking up & who knows how we would have reacted against Luton, who would come here rubbing their hands

Come saturday the atmosphere around the club will have changed & I would say, Luton will be another team who will set up to frustrate us, but we have to overcome that & prove, as we did last night, that we can beat the teams who pose the bigest threat to us & allow us to dictate the game & end up with nothing

We did put one bad run to bed last night, stopping a team who have failed to win at home recording a win, lets do another on satuday as Luton come here winless away from home too & lost at home to QPR recently

Lets home last night is not anotber false dawn

Clem Fandango

I hope Carrick makes these key changes for Luton.

1. Stop pissing about with the ball at the back all the time.
