Van Den Berg was injured, but just bringing in Clarke and switching Edmondson was mad. Especially with the arrogance we play out from the back and get caught out nearly everytime.

Though TBH, I did think we would comfortably finish in the top 6. Even following the Norwich game I actually thought we would kick on & consolidate a playoff place, the football we were playing & the goals we scored but from KO today I just felt we weren't in it

We're easy to beat,teams just need to put men behind the ball, attack on the break and grab a goal,we tippy tapp our way to defeat with those little short passes that go nowhere,and don't get me started on playing out from the back to a defender with his back to goal and a striker on him or playing suicide balls across the box.

Personally thought this was a very good post from OTR..

That old chestnut. It implies getting three more points puts Boro in the playoffs. There are at least four teams that have to be overtaken, and goal difference to be overcome as well.

So the reality is very different. All those four other teams will not lose in midweek, and next weekend. Some of them will play each other.

Carrick is not the manager you all hope for. I thought he should have been sacked in the summer, my reaction is not knee jerk. Nothing that has happened even hints that he's learning anything. Every match is a Groundhog Day rerun of previous games.

Keeping Carrick in post for the rest of the season is just writing it off. It would be better to bring a new manager in before Christmas, not because it would make any difference to this season, but to give him a shot at getting next season right.
