As Boro & Sunderland fought out a 5-5 draw in this first division match, the previous game the Boro faithful were tret to a 3-3 home draw with Liverpool, goals aplenty at Ayresome Park

George Camsell scored a treble that day, his last home hat trick & penultimate hat trick, recording his 12th of his amazing 13 hat tricks (he did score four & five goals 11 times which was an amazing stat), taking his tally to the season to 5
Ernest Coleman doubling his seasons account & Ralph Birketts 3rd of the season, completed our goals that afternoon

Wilf Gillows team only suffered the one home defeat all season which came in our final home game too, losing 3-1 to Derby, finished in our 3rd highest top flight of 7th, including this season, we had finished 7th three times

George Camsell still done exceptionally well again in the top flight, scoring 18 goals in 23 games. Fellow iconic goalscoring legend Micky Fenton, topped the clubs goalscoring charts that season with 22 from 35 games, no other Boro player got in to double figures, maybe another season of missed opportunities if others were among the goals

Micky Fenton finished the season as the 9th top flight goalscorer, 11 goals behind the leagues top goalscorer Stoke City Freddie Steele on 33 goals, he wasn't even the teams penalty taker & one place & two goals behind Everton's Dixie Dean. George Camsell finished in 16th place
