After 3 failed attempts to win on this day, each game finishing in draws, we finally ended that sequence with our fist ever football league meeting with neighbours Darlington, winning 3-2.
James McCelland with a brace his 13th & 14th goals of the season & Owen Williams for his 1st home goal & 3rd of the season

Herbert Bamletts team went on to finish in 9th position in the second division that season

With James McCelland finishing top goalscorer in 32 goals from 36 games, William Birrell on 17 with the next top scorers Owen Williams on 8 & Jacky Carr on 6 sort of maybe highlight the reason we didn't finish higher
