The arrival of the latest Brazilian player of the season & what a player he was for us

The most shocking thing about that page is the banal section from the Gazette on Borospeak

Are they really that bad?

Great day though...right up there with 'we've signed Ravanelli' day

17th October 1995 TLF paraded in front of 1,000's of Boro fans

I was there with my 36 month old daughter & a very dear friend of mine who sadly, is no longer with us

I couldn't quite believe us signing him.. Arsenal were close but the fact we went to Brazil and the Robson factor enabled us to conclude this deal.

To me, it epitomised us changing from a cottage industry club to a professional club with genuine ambition and aspirations.

So pleased I managed to get a couple of tickets for his debut.

The immense pride I had in my club was at it's optimum level.

Heady days indeed.

Remember the reserve game when he came back to us?

20K? there

Was that the biggest crowd for reserves game?

Remember the Chesterfield cup game, his first game back sure it was almost a full house, it was amazing him coming back to the Boro
