Clay Cross (North Derbyshire) council election is gained back by Conservatives (after losing in just July to Labour).

This is the latest loss by Labour.

When you openly start shitting on the hands that feed you, it will obviously come back to bite you on the arse. I'm waiting for the race card to be played by Labour.

Too Much Perspective

Conservatives are only a few points behind Labour in the polls - and they don't even have a leader.
Mind you, if they vote in that oily little pudding Robert Jenrick, that might change for them.

It most certainly will. A Nigel Farage clone battling for votes against Nigel Farage MkI is a total recipe for disaster. Then you've got to try and placate the so-called "one nation" Conservatives from jumping ship, leading to the very real prospect of the crackpot Liberals becoming the official opposition in 2029.
All in all, probably the biggest freebie Starmer will ever receive!

Jenrick's not a Nigel clone. He's a shapeshifter - He'll turn on a sixpence and say whatever anyone wants to hear to get a vote. He's more like Starmer when he was up for party leader.

Francks left peg

Can't believe how quickly labour messed this up. Otr were saying Tories wouldn't get back in again. Will be sooner than we all thought at this rate
