Our second season as a football league club seen us start the season with an ok can do better start when after 5 games our record was won 2, drew 1, lost 2, goals for 7, against 10

Goals by Alex Robertson, John Brown & a brace from William Wardrobe kept the points on Teesside

Boro went on to finish in 6th place in the league, manager John Robson was putting together a good team to challenge the second division the next season
In the FAC after playing games, 2 being replays, we eventually lost out in the 4th round at home to West Brom
