Why would he think himself lucky it's not a mosque?

Because in general, wherever you see mosques in the UK theres an above average chance of there being no social cohesion, integration, tolerance or mutual respect - especially if they're situated in an area like east Cleveland.

Is that from a census?

I suppose a practising Muslim would be more likely to state their religion on these things. I was christened, but if I was asked my religion on a census would probably put "none" or n/a, as would many others I reckon.


So I imagine the highest birth rate demographic in the UK is actually "no religion"
