We were top 6 following our win over West Brom, we were again top 6 when deservedly winning at Watford, then a crazy last 15 minutes in typical Boro fashion we grabbed defeat from the jaws of victory

Still gutted this morning following that collapse, I couldnt see us losing that game until the  point of their equaliser then, in all honesty, I knew we'd struggle to hold on for a point

I honestly cant put my finger on it, Doak was poor throughout so changing him for Jones shouldn't have made any difference at all & you would have thought McGree coming on would have strengthened us, my only gripe is Burgzorg on instead of Forss, but that was after they scored

Were the subs needed, I would agree with Carrick
We miss to many gilt edge chances, our passing at times was poor with a lot of balls going straight out of play
Azaz was good but guilty of an awful sitter, not so ELL who was put under pressure
Doak had the perfect opportunity at one nil up to square the ball across goal & to kill the game but failed, 2 minutes later they scored, we buckled & now sit 9th

Their big fullback Sem had the measure of Doak, and you could see he was getting frustrated. Logical move swapping him out.
I think the Watford commentators on my feed had it spot on: a really decent Champ side who just don't score enough.
Not sure what you do about that other than get the coaches to do shooting drills all day long?

Looking at the highlights we huffed and puffed and got in the box a few times but not a lot of end product. Watford were quick and direct and got two goals. With ten minutes left and you're losing there's no time for tippy tappy build up play.

We have had to many games this season alone when we struggled to capitalise on our superiority, magnify that over the season then between 6th & where we presently sit would be our finishing position

TBH Lids, bringing up that post he just smacks of playing to the audience, the last thing I would want to post after feeling totally dejected following such a poor loss, was to come across as 'look at me, I'm still totally 100% convinced we'll go up automatically because I'm a bigger fan than you all".

He will hit the goals trail, he was so unlucky v West Brom, think his header yesterday wasnt as easy as made out, a big CB pushing against him, he'll either score a boat load or become just unlucky, not for the want of trying

Our finishing fucked us yesterday.  Watford are a decent side and dominating them away from home is not easy.  If we'd taken our chances we would all be feeling pretty good today.

BUT we have had too many missed chances.  We need to drop Lath for a bit.  I like his work rate etc but he does seem to be quite a streaky player and he is on a shit run at the moment.  Give him a break to reset and try another up front eg Forss, Conway when fit etc (not that useless lump Burgzorg - why we got him and shipped out Coburn I'll never know).
