Victoria Wood died 8 years ago.. surely she can't be on the list. Eddie Izzard was canny a few years back.. but doesn't seem to have it anymore.

Top three best female comedians from the UK.. right now.. imo

1. Louise Young
2. Amy Gledhill
3. Steff Todd

BoroRedKen

Thats what makes it more astounding.

Its "of all time".

BoroRedKen

And yes we shall skirt over Izzard.

 :wry:

BoroRedKen

Bobby Mair is that Canadian comic.

tonyangelino

1 Jo Brand
3 Sarah Millican

Both fucking shite, just guesses.

BoroRedKen

It appears i have been had!

It says on X now its engagement farming. (Yeah me an'all!).

The "answers" were Rosie Jones at 1 and Suzy at 3.

The "real list" is.

WOOD
AHERENE
SAUNDERS
FRENCH
MRS BUCKET.
SALLY PHILLIPS
KATHY BURKE
KERRY GODLIMAN
SARAH MILLICAN
AISLING BEA.

tonyangelino

Out of that list i'd watch Wood, Aherne, Burke and at a push Saunders (without French)

markmywords

I can't comment on Number 1 because I have never seen her or heard of her.

Rosie Jones?

On everything at the moment.

Think she has cerebral palsy?

Caroline Aherne was class. Sarah Millican is pretty much just a poor Mrs Merton tribute act.

Seen Sarah Millican live. I thought she was very funny.
Im a fan of her hubby, Gary Delaney also.

spottygiraffe (Moderator)

Aisling Bea is so painfully unfunny, had to skip an entire season of Taskmaster.

ZiEgE

There is not, nor has there ever been a funny woman.

Never seen her. is she funny then?

Clem Fandango

Is Rosie Jones that spazzy one?  I wouldn't know if she is funny or not I can't understand a thing she says.

Aisling Bea always gives off "I'm extremely angry beneath my smile" vibes and she's as unfunny AF.

French & Saunders were good, as was Victoria Wood.  The best were Caroline Aherne and Dame Edna.  The rest are shite - although I've mostly only seen them filling the quota on panel shows and not doing stand up.

Over here, even though she is a leftie, I like Michelle Wolf who I find genuinely LOL funny.

The curly haired woman? Think she has been on Mock The Week a few times.

Dont think Dame Edna really counts in a female only poll though. Barry H was just a drag act in essence was he not?
I do agree though. Very very funny fella.

What next?

Baga Chipz is a funny "woman"?.

Tell you who grinds my gears.

That blonde screaming hyena on Buzzcocks.....
