Tory MPs were always criticised for their voting records by certain people on the left. When in theory there isn't much point taking any notice of them, as votes are usually whipped, therefore majority will vote in line with that.

Boots on the other foot now, you'll have tories/reform (right wing) MPs voting not to take away the payment, whilst labour MPs will. I wonder if we'll see "did your MP vote to makes pensioners poorer" threads naming and shaming on a certain website which regularly did this when it was the tories voting on unpopular policy.

Only one Labour MP (Jon Trickett, the MP for Normanton and Hemsworth) voted against the cuts, all of the others who didn't support them simply abstained, because Starmer said he would remove the whip and they are basically self-serving cowards.
