And came across the Boro v Grimsby game, on the 4th March 1986, tines were hard back then, Boro sit in the bottom 3, three points from safety, Willie Maddren a month earlier had just been dismissed & Bruce Rioch was to take over his first game as caretaker manager

Tuesday night foitball under the lights seen the mighty Boro win our first match that calander year with a cracking performance with a, 3-1 home win over Grinsby Town at Ayresome Park

Bernie Slaven opened the scoring putting us one up, Mogga doubled our lead with Bernie doubling his account on tbe night for his 7th of the season
