Has to be said the barbers is 1 of the smartest i have ever seen. It has these fancy chairs all leather and studded. And the decor is classy.
And on a weekend its rammed.

Saw that on fb earlier! Looks an utter mess, council should have restrictions on signage for shops to keep the area looking nice.

Just before covid etc the high street got a grant from the National Lottery (quite a few quid tbh) to create shop frontage and promote the moasic walk.

Now this. A sign went up in the window 2 weeks ago applying for "An off sales licence".

Not a single mention of the vape side of it.

The number of holiday lets is bad enough now this. The "village" is now a suburb....

I have now left Skelton but when I moved there in 2019 (old end) I was really surprised. Great walks, high st with a great deli, r n r food is exceptional and also pricey (whixh it makes so good best steak I've ever had) local butchers. I don't like the Turkish barbers, looks tacky, can't believe there is a vape shop opening?

Should vape shops not be regulated?
They have used bright yellow posters covering the windows with all kinds of "pretty, attracting colours".

Not attractive to kids is it?.

I dont get why the Co-Op did not object to the beer sales.

We have 2 solicitors in the street.

And i hope everyone can agree the look is awful. In no way in keepìng with the area.

The parish and local council will not give me permission to use my front garden, pebbled over anyway, as a drive because of my "wall" and "its not in keeping" bollocks.

The 3 holiday lets near me ALL got permission to install a drive because of the lack of parking for residents/visitors!

Now this place opens up. Its not even the fact of what it sells. I smoke.

Its the chavvy/town centre look that fries my head. Might as well move back to Boro.
Maybe i aint cut out for middle class village life after all..
