A benefit that someone has worked their bits off for 40 year?
That's wrong in principle. I pay tax and NIC to pay fur public services, schools. Hospitals, OAP for people at the time. There is no build up benefits. My OAP is paid by todays tax payers.

It is zero to do what I paid in the past.

To get any state pension, you must have at least 10 qualifying years of National Insurance contributions (NICs). The amount you'll get is proportionate to your contributions - for example, if you have 20 years' full contributions, you'll get 57% (20/35) of the full amount.

You talk absolute fucking tripe Blott

what you said is true and correct. It is nothing to do with how the OAP is paid. Do you think it's all held in the BoE? You pay my pension, I paid my nan and dad's.

Lets be honest, like mentioned earlier, where is the oppo starting next week in the HOC?

This Tory leadership battle is a waste of time. Even if they announced a leader today it would still take years to gain any belief back from the voter base.

Reform, sadly i believe, will not be around by the next GE.
The second they register as an official political party it will be daggers at dawn.
We hear about "anti establishment rhetoric" now from Labour.
A few more years on this "clampdown" and Reform will not survive.

Whats happened to Ed Davey and co?
Labour have an open goal for a few years yet.
I think it's a bad thing Labours majority in the HoC. We need strength thought the executive. It will end in tears.
Agreed.

We agree twice in 1 week Blotts?

Nope. Hell has not frozen over!

I will text my dad to find out. Nah, there's no way he ever used a phone of any type.

All I am stating is this, You claimed above the pension you get today has zero to do with what you contributed in the past.

If you contributed nothing in the past you would be on a low basic payment it has everything to do with how long you contributed for. work all your life get the full amount.

Why should I work all my life to pay for you then when it's my turn some Turd called Starmer says I am getting nothing .

fuck them bastards

I would say it's closer to £1200. As you know we had recent use of a fabulous home for my FiL. Care workers are severely underpaid.

If you are careful and look after yourself this government will take you for a ride.

I am getting the state pension. Deferred it so get a decent one compared to the basic. Could I live on it? Nope. So I am working part time to top it up.

Have a private pension I am not touching. Far from a massive pension pot.

So Labour could probably categorise me as being relatively well off as a pensioner! I can assure them I'm not.

Worked the majority of my life paid shed loads of tax Starmer says thanks - now fuck off!!

Today and every day forward there are 5000,00 hotel Beds sat empty but fully paid for each week by the UK Gov ( Tax Payers I mean ) to be used as emergency accommodation for the channel sailing club so to speak. It costs a few million each week to do this but its happening .

Around £8 million a month paid to hotels to keep rooms empty for surplus sailing club visitors .

That £8 Million a month could be better spent on a million other things .

Absolute corrupt shit hole we have allowed them to turn us into.

I suppose we could give it to a Publican or a bra manufacturer, oh we did.

It's not for the boats, they are a tiny part of immigration. It's because we still don't have a decent policy and processes. Rwanda was expensive bollocks.

Let them work, let them pay rent, use common sense.

Can we steer away from immigration lads?

Good question, Ken. Was always brought up to look after myself and try and plan accordingly. The irony is you are penalised for adopting such a strategy. But I couldn't live from hand to mouth being reliant on state handouts. Personal pride would not allow me to.

However you are seen as prime target for a government looking to tax and penalise everything they can. But hey it's what to be expected!

Politics of envy still alive and kicking!!

Well I've worked for donkeys years contributing to a pension, 10 years ago my company fucked the final salary pension off, then recently binned off the defined contribution pension, so they're deferred and now in a not so good pension, so now I can see Labour likely to come along and stick their spanner in the works again, I have a feeling I'm going to be left wishing I had just enjoyed the money I saved into a pension and rented a fuckin house off the council.
