Life is not a rehearsal I have learnt that more so these past few months, life certainly is so precious

We all know friends & family that we have lost along the way who were far to young to leave us, so, so, sad

Sol Bamba brought to the Boro by Neil Warnock stayed for one season but his professionalism showed through, a sort of cult hero, a good leader when we needed one, 😢

RIP Sol Bamba x 😢

Reading up about the Lad Cardiff didn't do themselves any favours going off what he said below.

"If I am completely honest, I was disappointed by the way the club went about it and the way we finished it," he told WalesOnline.

After undergoing several rounds of chemotherapy, the 37-year-old announced in May the same year that he was cancer-free and returned to action for his club as a substitute, coming on to play the final few seconds of Cardiff's last game of the season against Rotherham.

Yet just a month later, Bamba's footballing journey took another twist, with Cardiff City announcing they would not be renewing his contract.

Having joined the club in 2016, making 118 appearances for Cardiff, he admitted he was heartbroken at the club's decision and revealed that he was also disappointed that he had found the news out on Twitter.

"Everyone knows me at the club, I'm a straight guy, I can handle the truth and I wanted the club to come and be straight with me and say, 'Listen, you're coming back from illness, we want to go in a different direction', whatever it was, just be honest, and I will take it.

"But they didn't do that. Funnily enough, I found out I was released like all of you guys - by Twitter.

"I think for everything I did for the football club, I deserved better."

Bud Wiser

Its easy to remminise about his penalty v Man Utd. But lets never forget his league debut for us (v Sheffield Utd) at a time when we were floundering, where he was immense - and stayed that way until he departed from the club.
