Shouldn't be too hard for you to find the 'Wife-Beater' quote unless she's used her subsequently acquired Mod privileges to remove it.

It is a fact that numerous rapes/sexual assaults go unreported.
Could thinking like yours be a possible cause?

Male on male rape falls into the same catagory.
We males "think" we could fight off an attack. But there is a "reality" that it happens.

The suicidal bit i do understand. I took several calls over the years from men who said they were falsely accussed of rape/peadophillia.
But i have also taken the odd call from a female that was not "believed".

What is the answer to get people to come forward?

He's not sinister imho but has obviously been through the FCS (family court system) and knows plenty who have. Cafcass are basically owned by Women's Aid and they receive Government funding. Put simply, why is there no "Mothers for justice" ? As working or middle class fella you are going to get your arse handed to you in a custody or divorce case. It is almost like you can do no right. Any illusions that reasonable contact or a realistic division of assets will occur quickly evaporate. The latter should be done by calculator and contribution should count.

The "Custody Minefield" used to be a fantastic resource site, started as his mate, a solicitor I believe, topped himself during custody proceedings.

As others have said, women and men do tell fibs. It's not easy getting to the nub of issues. When those judging have no clue about working class upbringings and life you have to question why they are in the positions of power. "All in the children's best interests", my arse.

I find it sinister and way way  over the top. Most of if not all posts that mention women he is on the attack, I would go as far to say he starts most threads belittling women.

I know sod all about psychology but if a Criminal Psychologist was on here they would be concerned.

Clem, although we have since became acquaintances since this discussion, I would like to formally and publicly apologise for saying you are "probs a woman beater". I am sincerely sorry. I'm sure at some point in the future we will insult each other again, and then get over it again.

I will however, continue be highly suspicious of anyone who goes out of their way to disprove anything to do with violence against women and girls. Or to try and minimise the issue to prove their own.

My intent on this topic is never to villainise men, but to create as much noise as possible around this issue that is a direct risk to not only me, but my daughter too. I did not personally put the statistics together that show the main perpetrators in violence against women, are in fact men.

This is the final time I'll explain myself on this. I will continue to talk about violence against women and girls.

Me being extremely passionate about this does NOT mean that I don't care about violence against men, men in relationships with domestic violence present, men who are falsely accused of anything. Like any other normal human being, I think crime is bad.

I am a feminist, I care about equality, I care about humans, and the world I'm raising my daughter in.

If you want to be spoken to with respect, you can respect me too. Otherwise - it's fair game, don't cry (again) when I show you up in front of the whole forum.

Thanks - I'm well past it but this may help you understand why I wasn't particularly keen on being called that.

1. I've never hit or harmed a woman in my life.
2. I grew up in a home where my father regularly abused my mother.  Until I was old and big enough to stop him.

I doubt any of the lads on here are woman beaters.  In fact, knowing their general personality and beliefs (and while many are rough around the edges) I would think they are the type to stand up and protect women in that situation.

We all say stupid shit on here - that's a great aspect of the place.  You just have to give and take it and move on.
