Going back a bit for me around 69/70. George Smith, all action midfielder bought from Portsmouth I think for club record fee of £50000. Believe he still lives in the area.

Bud Wiser

David Armstrong. Still is.

Never saw him play. He left just before I started going.

Great shout. I said on here before when Gascoigne scored at Leicester he ran around as if we had won the Premiership.

Another for Big John Hickton. Not only one of our best but also one of the most loyal players we've had.

Epitomised all the genuine characteristics you hope for in a player at your club.

Redcar Belgrade

Slaven for me. The sight of him rattling the Holgate fence after scoring was iconic especially to an impressionable 8-year-old.
