We still need a LB - Engel is shite.  He just isn't good enough to be first choice and need to bin him when/if Bangura gets fit again.

We need an experienced back up at CB the way our luck has gone with injuries.

Anything else?   :pd:

Nosmo-King

Craig Dawson could do a job short term. Full back? Sounds like a Brazillian playing in France is looking likely to come in.

Ayton Mews

Thought Ayling was decent at centre back alongside Clarke today. Especially up against that big unit they had up top

Dijksteel at RB was better than I remember him being as well

They did ok - but we are really thin at the back - another injury and?

I must have missed something I thought he was an 8 out of 10.

You thought Engel was 8 out of 10?

If so, I think you missed your glasses.   :rudi:

I never really noticed him which means he was OK.

I think you'll find our man Blotto spends a bit more time in these pre-match pubs he waffles on about than he lets on. Hic.

true.

I enjoy my days out. I am not into False CF, 442 or 451, or pressing. Or diamond shape, in the hole, I just want Boro to win.   Oops missed in transition.

Saying that the King Prawn Chow Mien is damned good.

Thought Dijksteel had a very good game, I've always liked him & hoped he wouldnt be moved on, just needs Carrick to be brave & keep him in the team if hes playing well

I do like Engel & IMO gets a bit of undeserved grief, before a ball was kicked he was mentioned as a lower league player by some experts on other sites, mind you, they kept quiet for the first two games, im not saying people shouldnt have an opinion, but they dont give the lad some credit if he does well between the ones he doesnt do to well in

I have to admit he lost control of the ball twice yesterday, one in either half, when in good positions, that let him down

Bangura, along with Fry, Morss & seems McGree, are just not reliable for long spells on the pitch

Hope the new lad, if he arrives is an upgrade on Bangura or we will be struggling

Middlesbrough close in on new left-back with deal to sign Brazilian Neto Borges progressing well https://www.gazettelive.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/middlesbrough-close-new-left-back-29804052

Erimus everybody is an expert on players every fan of every team is the same despite what they say it's upto the manager not the fans who plays nobody else unless the said team has an interfering chairman
TEESSIDER and Proud  of the area unlike some and I'm not a Racist

Ural Quntz

Two minutes after the first ball was kicked he totally mistimed a challenge which allowed the break through leading to their first goal!

League 1 I'm afraid

Francks left peg

Think it all went wrong for Engel on his debut! Hasn't been able to recover since then.

Blott

I thought he was OK. But I never worry about the detail of each player. I never thought god he's shite.

We are going up. Stop panicking.

to be fair to the current regime they do their due diligence. The french team he plays for Clement are more famous for Rugby. We will be paying more them.
