YES IT'S BEEN GOING ON FOR YEARS KIDDA....WE JUST WHERE NOT AROUND TO SEE IT....

END OF THREAD....CLIMATE CHANGE IS MADE UP FUCKING BULLSHIT 👎👎👎

CAN WE NOW GET ON WITH BEING COLD IN ENGLAND 10 MONTHS OF THE YEAR 🙄🙄🙄

You won't care soon lids, lapping it up in the land of smiles.

As I said above according to NASA 97 pc of scientists believe in global warming.

But Lids says different, so they are all wrong.

First it was 99.9% and now it's 97%. This number is dropping faster than the effectiveness of the covid vaccines.

Both figures are pure fiction, but even if they weren't.......

Science is not done via concensus, it has never been done via concensus. That's not how science works.

Oh come on, I used 99.9 pc in jest. If it was above your head so be it. Whoooooosh

Per scienceNasa

Has Earth continued to warm since 1998?
Yes, evidence shows warming from 1998 to the present, with 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020 being the hottest years globally since 1880.

Like I said you listen to Lids WhatsApp group and look out the pub window. I will listen to the science.

And only slightly warm the other 2 months apart from maybe 2 days where it creeps over 25 degrees

I'm no conspiracy theorist but there in lies the issue for me on the world saying we have global warming......Since 1880...........what about the other billions of years where we had no measure ?

Just playing devils advocate as I am very green concious and that's why I have a PiH 2ltr Turbo Quattro car

we do have measuure it's allover, in tree rings, in mollusc shells, in the ice.

I am no fanatic and think blue bins are pointless, but to think we are not effecting the bleaching of coral is naive.

Nosmo-King

As we are responsible for an enormous 1% of global  emissions I think other countries have more pressing matters on this subject........

I'm not saying that we aren't contributing towards a warmer earth but maybe our contribution is a small part of a cycle anyway ??

I do use the blue bin though or as I call it the bottle bin.

Blott

I agree on cycles, but no where near as quick as is happening.

About 100,000 years ago, when mammoths roamed the Earth, the Northern Hemisphere climate plummeted into a deep freeze that allowed massive ice sheets to form. Over a period of about 10,000 years, local mountain glaciers grew and formed large ice sheets covering much of today's Canada, Siberia and northern Europe.

I know I've seen the documentary animated film - Ice Age & Ice Age 2

Yeah we do have data, how are all the spikes possible without humans creating 3% of the world's CO2?

Take your time kiddo....

Blott

It proves that Warming is happening. Look at the huge spike at the end. Unless the Blue data means something different.

Let's get this right, there have always and always will be movements in temperature, just look at the moment of the gulf stream, even the Sahara was under water.

All they are saying is hat effect is greater today because of additional carbon dioxide and chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs), hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs), and nitrous oxide: yes I copied that.

These are things we can control, what is wrong in trying that?

Already over 40 pc of UK energy is renewable. Seems a good idea to me.

Absolutely nothing the UK does will impact global temperatures, short of us launching all our nuclear weapons.

If our carbon output tomorrow was 0, it would make no difference. If it were x5 what it is today, it would make no difference.

We are a small nation, cheap energy for the masses should be the governments priority. As if our government gave a single fuck about the masses.....

I semi agree, we have done  our coke oven, ICI, town gas, ....

Today it's China and India, they are just late to the party.

ZiEgE

That's exactly what Farage's point was.

We didn't reduce carbon, we just outsourced it at massive expense to our nation through loss of jobs and commerce.

It's also super important to split environmentalism and climate as issues.

I don't know anyone who doesn't want clear rivers and seas, beaches and green areas. But successive governments let company's pump shit all over.

The same companies are getting tax breaks because their CO2 outputs are lower.

Utterly ridiculous.

Blott

I was about to agree and then saw man of the people Farage and you lost me.

We are a service industry country, the big industries are still in decline.

I don't think there is much between our views
