Ayton Mews

Rather he went to Millwall or someone on loan.

Even Sunderland  :rudi2:

Help to take some points off our rivals, then obviously can't play against us

I like him a lot.

He's still developing but is already a handful with an eye for goal.

He needs to play though.  So either keep him with the true intent of playing him in certain situations/line ups or send him out on loan to a team that plays with a similar style as us.  My preference is keep him as he offers something different and he has a role to play.  We are bound to have injuries and suspensions that need cover.

Blott

He is surprisingly quick.

After watching the Leeds highly again this morning & Josh's excellent post match interview I feel he's a player we need to keep at all cost
His comments about pulling on the shirt & a massive Boro fan should be enough to at least have him on the bench
Going back to the interview, the woman was as shallow as you could actually get, he was bouncing, a great performance, a goal, a cracking assist & she stupidly asks Josh, looked like he was filling up, that it could be his final goal

I read this posted by someone somewhere.... and agree.

Lets have a look at our strikers over the past 10 years and see where we are..

FYI he cost nothing and he's 21 YEARS OLD

Hugill scored 1 more than him after playing more games, Chuba only beat him in his last season.. Britt was flagging in his last two seasons. Fletcher only had 1 season where he scored more than Coburn did last season. Muniz didn't score at all. Vossen scored two more league goals taking 14 extra games to do it. Sporar took 16 games to score and extra three.

Someone on twitter genuinely said that he thought Coburn was our worst striker since Gestede in the last 10 years!! He is properly up there! Anyone remember Josh Coburn's last minute goal against Tottenham? At 21 years of age his goal contribution stands under only Cameron Archer and Patrick Bamford. He is value in spades and his hold up play is beyond most.

the academy guys.. he's way above them
Calum Kavanagh
Luke Williams
Arnel Jakupovic
George Miller
Mitchell Curry
Rumarn Burrell
Luke Armstrong
Tyrone O'Neill
Bradley Fewster
Louie Evans
Alberto Baldé
Alex Hutchinson
Gabby McGill
Stephen Walker

too early to tell with the new crop..
Sonny Finch
Ajay Matthews
Charlie Lennon
Daniel Nkrumah

A really good old fashioned number 9.. he has suffered with a few niggling injuries due his age, his growth spurt and workload. Tom Cannon was a target for us last season and he contributed 2 goals in 13 appearances. Tommy Conway is a perfect addition to our squad and he will compliment the way we play, adding strong cover with enough talent to challenge for the first team. 10 goals in 39 appearances last season for Bristol City.. managed more games than Coburn but similar scoring profile none the less.

I think we might be cutting the squad too fine if Coburn leaves.. even if that is on loan. I can understand his need for game time but I do not see the addition of Conway necessarily being to the absolute detriment of Josh. They could both play in the same line up for me and even compliment each other. Especially in those games where Carrick appears to have a bit of a blind spot.

I love it when you talk sensible.

I still prefer dirty though.
