In accounting terms it's known as a Qualified Opinion.

But bosses have admitted the airport is "not out of the woods yet" and that "significant financial and operational challenges" remain to ensure its sustainability and future.

The NAO.

"Not in our remit".

End of story.......

👍

The cunts otr will be foaming at the mouth trying to find links on tinterweb to disprove big fat Ben, whilst claiming they want the Teesside airport project to work.
Fuckin pricks.

Well it better be working a week on Thursday

I  went bust as most know on here. My companies financial position makes MME look like the Titanic.

If we, the public, did not fund it it would be closed down. As it happens I am all for public ownership, so keep the good work up.

1910?

Redcar Belgrade

I used Teesside last week and I was impressed with the facilities. Fuck me, they need to add some flights though.

Exactly mate

It'll continue to struggle if they don't get more (much more) flights into and out of the place

Shame really cos it's a decent airport now

These things take time. Deals need to be struck, arms twisted, drinks sweetened.

What really doesn't help is twisted, angry, small-minded 'Teessiders' sniping from the sidelines whilst simultaneously claiming to want the best for our area.

All because Houchen isn't one of their tribe.

borope

Better flight times and more flights like Malaga would be nice. I'm going to Majorca in a few weeks and using Leeds Bradford as flight times were loads better. Used Teesside twice recently though and been great.

Ayton Mews

It's a great airport...

If you want to go to Aberdeen or Amsterdam

it is a new airport after all.

Too Much Perspective

I've seen people on Facebook etc who seem totally livid that the airport is getting revenue coming through and are desperate to talk it down. It's like they want it to fail just so they can get one over on the mayor.
Some of them are supposed to be Boro supporters too. Why would you want something to fail, people lose their jobs etc, just so you can say 'told you so' and get likes on social media? It's like they're children trapped in adults bodies.

Blott

Why didn't Houchen support my business? I employed more, made money for 6 years on the bounce, one year more than that bigged up by Houchen and used by far more of the public?

Even 2 pc of that given to his mates on the river would have sorted it.

Er, I don't know him.

Or Turkey, Alicante, Mallorca, Portugal, Channel Islands, Iceland or Lapland at Christmas, but yes, you can also fly to Aberdeen and Amsterdam.

And you can't fly aeroplanes in and out of a burger stall.

Blott

#23
It was a big burger stall.  Just checked my failed business revenue was about 50 pc of the airport and rising quickly.

I used MME a lot, Amsterdam and London. I don't have to now, if I did Leeds and Newcastle are 1 hour away, hardly a disaster.

If something is finished it's finished.

For Tories you love giving away my taxes

Teesside International Airport has drawn down more than £60m in loans out of a £88m taxpayer pot in its first four years.

Oh, hang on,I have to pay £40 a year for my garden rubbish to be cleared, Labour eh.

We went to Corfu from Teesside. Great service.
