Thorpe was a beacon of quality in an otherwise turgid England batting lineup during the 90's.

55 is no age at all. Sad news

Really sad about this.

One of my favourite players growing up, and as said above a beacon of light who could actually stand up to the Aussies in what was a pretty rubbish England team.


RIP Thorpey and your iconic white sweatband.
