Now guys, just sat about having a lazy day in the sun today.  It is Bastille Day over here and other than the families all getting together for food, there is not a great deal happening.

I've fully charged my internet airbox and laptop for the game tonight and hopefully, I can interrupt the French celebrations with England goals and a win for the lads.

The bottom picture is the view of the lake from our caravan.

And no doubt Juninhoburger will be looking in over the garden wall, he spends more time on here than I do.

Cheers Ken - South Bank lad eating Oysters, who would have thought.

I'm logging off now so I don't use up all my internet allowance before the game - I did for the semi final.

Talk to you all later.

I'm south of Bordeaux. We spent the afternoon at that restaurant waiting for my boat engine to be serviced.

Lovely.
Do you live there?  I try get over France as often as possible. If things work out in next 4-5 years we going to do long term lease and I'll work remotely. Saves buying.

When are you going to Disneyland Norman?

I wish I did live over here but Brexit and the 90 day rule put that dream to bed.

We have a touring caravan that we leave here in storage and come out here for 8 weeks over the summer. We've also rented cottages for the odd Christmas.

The caravan is serviced and taken to the site for us and placed on our pitch. It saves towing it from home to south of Bordeaux.

We've even mooted this idea recently. Was thinking of a cheapish motorhome and try get it stored in similar fashion. A colleague opened my eyes to this a few year back.

Billybalfour1

I get alerts for homes too in the Aveyron department,  it's quite a cheap but lovely looking area. Accessible by Bordeaux or toulouse Airports in a fashion. Maybe just a pipe dream to own, as would never get the use to justify, hence why we thought of 2 or 3 month leases once a year and try different regions. Plus my company might agree to that, so I can keep on working and do it while younger. Not sure I'll have the beans at retirement age. Plus seen a few peg it recently before retirement so I'm gonna try do some stuff while young enough
