Bikeriders - Film

I've been to the cinema tonight to watch 'Bikeriders' starring Austin Butler, Jodie Comer, and Tom Hardy.

The film is inspired by Danny Lyon's 1968 study of Chicago biker gang 'The Outlaws' and I would recommend it.  Butler and Comer are brilliant in it and Tom Hardy never fails to deliver.

Always been fascinated by "Gang culture". Grow up around bikers. 1 bro was bang into them and im certain he was a member of 1 (i was only a kid but remember the leathers and his Triumph Bonneville 750. He used to disappear for weeks at a time.)

I played football for the Eston Royal (Oscars) in the late 70's and the bar was a mixture of bikers and Eston lads - the place was wild but brilliant craic.

It had the best jukebox in the area. One day I guy came in and changed all the records for 80's music. He was back within the hour to change it back.

No phones in them days to record all the shenanigans. 🤣🤣🤣

The Dolphin was Redcar front,The Royal was in eston along from the square,It was a freehouse, got all sorts in there in the late seventies,bikers,punks,skins,mods,regulars.Not much trouble as everyone knew each other by sight or in person.
