My pals girlfriend was murdered by her estranged husband a few years ago.

The Northern Echo ran the story but showed, under the headline " Man murders soon to be ex wife".

And ran a pic of my mate, who was a prosecution witness, under the headline!

Idiot northern journalism.

A close family member was locked up in Dubai on a drugs charge, the gazette got wind and approached us for a story, my missus thought it would be good to bring it to the publics attention,
I convinced the missus that if they run a story the emirates would possibly dig their heels in, I got my way and told the reporter to do one, explaining why we thought it wouldn't be a good idea.
A few days later the story was in the gazette, minus all names of suspects.
Absolute bastards.
