Well he certainly isn't a flat track bully - his stats will more than confirm that. But - as I've mentioned many times before - playing two physically small players players behind a lone forward won't work at this level, not for us anyway.

Alexander-Arnold was actually decent last night but a right wing-back at best. So seeing as Southgate prefers to play with a back four theres no starting place for him as far as I'm concerned.

We didn't seem to find the right fit with Gerrard and Lampard in the team.. we didn't seem to pick the right formation to make the best out of their abilities often with one missing out by playing slightly out of position.

Bellingham is soaring in that number 10 position.. Foden looks like he is struggling a little or at least is not up to his 100% best (early days I know)

Could have done with maybe having Grealish on that left hand side last night?

What do you do? Play Bellingham in more of an 8? Play double 10s? THE CHRISTMAS TREE FORMATION!!

Bellingham is immense and definitely the player you build the team around! But Foden isn't half bad either!
