Yes they are made from real bears.

BUT.....

The are the pelts from Canada. Canada has a licensed cull every year for black bears because of the danger to humans by the sheer number of wild bears.

I can understand the complaints but its not as if these bears are hunted just to make furry hats.

BTW 460 odd bearskin hats in 6 years.
