Quote from: teamboro on June 05, 2024, 01:50:03 PMNewy carry on supporting the circus because that's all it is they and I mean they have fucked up the country, take us into wars nobody wants, import people no they aren't migrants that's every member of parliament you want to stick by the circus carry on Liebour and Tories are 2 cheeks of the same arse oh and another thing labour fucked the NHS the last time they were in because of PFI a no d don't deny it

I'm not supporting any circus.. I just watched the debate.

I'm assuming you are on about the Iraq war? Can't remember any Conservative MPs standing against the war in Iraq. the tories fucked the NHS through lack of investment.. stripping everything back to the bare bones, same with the schools. the PFIs were a conservative policy fully backed by the conservatives. infact that was Tony Blair's whole schtick.. adopting Conservative fiscal policies, his 3rd way american style neo con dream.

so here we are again, the family silver has all been given away, the kids pocket money has been snatched for a night on the town and nana's savings has went on a nice suit jacket.

nothing really of note to vote for, not outstanding or remotely likeable characters.. stick or twist.

We've had COVID, Brexit (Voted for by the majority), Ukraine war and Gaza to contend with and have got through them and are now seeing the economy start to grow. Hospital waiting lists down to C19 and strikes from junior doctors wanting unrealistic pay rises.
Personally as a retired person having retired 2 years ago my standard of living has not deteriorated under the Tories as it will under Starmer.

yeah, it's one of them really isn't it. if your not directly involved then you have to do the best you can.
people are fed up of it and it's not just in this country either.

Quote from: newyddion on June 05, 2024, 01:56:47 PMSo you didn't watch it then?

it's just how I scored it.. different people look for different things, some actions count more for some than others.
as wet as keir came across.. for me.. sunak got the worst and most extreme reactions from the audience

i'm not saying that's how it was.. just as I saw it. not saying i'm right or wrong. just my perception.

What if the audience were all just like you?

Sort of thing the BBC would do

You missed out George Soros and the Illuminati. :cloughy:

I scored it Sunak win.

Starmer dodged a bit much.

Starmer does need help with his presentation.

The word "change" is frying my cabbage tbh.

If SKS keeps up with his DPP shtick that might come back to bite him. Sunak did get the terrorist name in once.

SKS maybe knows its his to lose.

Starter is just seeing the game out,2-0 up and into extra time, like Norwich did to us at Wembley,no need to commit when you're ahead.

BoroRedKen

Yup i agree with that analogy.

😂

Sunak won comfortably 👍

Geoff_B

Jon Healey (Labour) - just got murdered by Kay Burley on Sky, if the likes of him are what we have to look forward too then god forbid

BoroRedKen

I have been a bit surprised tbh.

I thought 5 weeks is nothing. Nothing much will change. Labour shoo-in etc etc.

But even after a week it has proven that IT IS a long time in politics!

Still have no doubt its a Labour gov but Starmer may need to attack more and not be so robotic and repeitive.

Nigel has really stirred the nest! Nobody can deny that!..

A lot of the electorate have made up their minds, not listening to the arguments and, apparently looking like their judgement will not change - no matter what.

Bizarre that opinion polls not really moving at all. Must be a first?

Yeah.. most folks will have made their minds up before the debate.

this is one of them things that sounds good in your head.. but just comes out like utter tosh.

if someone is ingrained labour then they will vote labour.

most people have made up their minds about not voting tory.. which is understandable. the alternative tho.. that's the big question. at the moment it looks like labour are running away with it with reform are picking up the pace..

one thing that you can be sure of is that people are fed up with our politicians.. fed up of the main parties.

unfortunately there is no sign of a credible alternative at the moment.
