What next?
If you dont have any kids should you get a tax break from subsiding others kids?
Tax people twice now?
Why not tax private medical treatment also? Most cannot afford to use that system.
Why are Universities tax exempt?

Don't know why public schools get charitable status or why they are tax exempt.

Because when they take a kid out of state school, they save the state the cost of educating that child. £50,000 + ?

Seems a fair trade to me ?

The cost for the average private school primary pupil would be nowhere near 50k.  Most pupils command 3k per year unless they are pupil premium kids or SEND kids. The 4700 is all kids pupil premium, SEND, EHCP, adopted etc including those in special schools averaged. Most likely saving the system around 21k per pupil.
