I'm a big critic of Southgate, but that is a really impressive squad he has picked. Really tough to chop seven, but I'd cut Trafford, Gomez, Quansah, Gallacher, Jones, Maddison, and Gordon.

I'm with you on Trafford, Quansah, Jones & Maddison.. I would probably go for Lewis Dunk over Joe Gomez to have a bit more flexibility. Conor Gallagher probably gets in over Jarrod Bowen for me.

Then.. how are we doing with Harry Kane? Got a bad back hasn't he? Ivan Toney takes a decent penna.. if Kane is fit then I'd probably drop Toney.. missed half the season and not exactly pulled up any trees.

Can't help thinking we look a bit lightweight in midfield with that selection. Adam Wharton's price tag alone got him into the squad, whereas the always impressive Rico Lewis can feel a little hard done by.
