I'd ditch it. The nag in the mind about the possibility of VAR intervention must surely lessen the euphoria of celebration. Imagine the Job goal at Cardiff or Maccarone against Basel under VAR. The purest ecstasy of those moments would be lost (regardless of the goals eventually counting or not). Weakens the "product" and experience for me.

People will argue for fairness, but the game is inherently unfair anwyway. Bring on the chaos.

Keep. The moment it isn't there and a bad decision goes against you in a big match, you will be screaming for it to come back. I don't care if it takes them 10mins to come to the correct decision, as long as it is correct.

keep.. but something needs to be done with how it is used. I cant understand why we can't have some sort of algorithm put into VAR to deal with offside.. pretty sure there will be something out there that deals with kinetic movement that could flag up instances of simulation and diving. get that together with goal line technology.. oh and throw ins!

we should be good to go.. i'd love to see it working well. but we're no better off when it isn't.

Keep, but only for what it was supposed to have been brought in for, a clear and obvious error by the ref or assistant or something they have missed in play. Not scrutinising the shit out of whether someone's fingernail was offside

The big thing, as has been mentioned on this thread is waiting to see if a goal has actually been given is wrong

Celebrating a goal is instant, you can't hold your emotions for a few seconds, minutes, until others deem its a goal or not, then celebrate, that joyful moment has passed

Exactly this.  The idea is sound - the application is badly flawed.  Focus on clear and obvious and making that decision within a small amount of time.  The TV companies will still scrutinize the shit out of stuff and call out anything missed but they will do that without VAR as well so may as well try to catch the glaringly obvious stuff.
