Saw them at the Stockton Fringe in 2010.. after the gig the bass guitarist grasshopper asked if I and a few other wanted to go drinking with them.. I had work the next morning and was led away by the missus (surely grounds for divorce) pfft.. never gonna have THAT opportunity ever again! Sorry lads.. was drinking with Mercury Rev last night innit!

Anyway.. they have a new album out this year and are coming to England as part of the tour.. hoping to get tickets this week!

The time I didn't go to sink a few pints with my favourite band ever.. hold the front pages!

Early 2000's a lad at work asked me to download a groups greatest hits, back then, cant remember the site you could put a blank CD in your PC & download any music available, anyway the band he told me of I had never heard of, mind my musical knowledge of groups has never been good, anyway I downloaded the music onto a CD & gave it to my mate, I enjoyed the music so much I done myself a copy, over time I lost the CD but could never remember the name of the band, until now, Mercury Rev & the first song you posted I was thinking, why do I remember that song & then it clicked after listening to the second one, so thanks 👍

The good thing about this site, other than its far, far removed what others maybe say of it, is that debates & opinions are respected on here & one of those is someones musical taste, as we know music is loved by all & the varied taste in peoples choice, mine vary from Slim Whiman, to NKCole, to Bowie, Undertones, Rubbettes, ABBA, glam rock, morrosey, New Romantics, Johnny Cash, even bits of Eminem, baring heavy metal, right across the board, yet because my musical taste didnt sit right OTR it was constantly mocked, I just went along with it while listening to some of the s#@%e posted OTR thinking, taste, what taste. Over here you wont get mocked, posters will join in without telling you your taste is awful ( because I dont like it attitude)

yeah I mean everyone has different tastes in music.. i'm up for a bit of banter and piss taking but fmttm has become a very strange place in recent months and it made sense for me just to come off it.

Dexys, Primal Scream, The Charltans, Public Enemy, Mondays.

Had a few on there although it was Peter Hook and the light that were on, when Martha was there, not New Order.
