Two seasons running Peterborough have fell at the SF stage, how gutted must their fans be
Late in the Oxford v Posh game two old Boro boys Joe Bennett went off after picking up an injury to be replaced by Marcus Browne

I've always had a soft spot spot for Oxford United probably since 1986 when they won the Milk cup, league cup in old money with, bald eagle, Jim Smith, future Boro No2 under Toddy, as their manager. They sold us a legend in Robbie Mustoe & a very good pro in Jimmy Phillips, who scored our first ever PL penalty in a 4-1 defeat away to Liverpool in 1992, we later sold him to Oxford

In 1979  our manager John Neal reluctantly sold them Gary Briggs to Oxford, with the transfer making history, the fee was settled at the Football League's first ever transfer tribunal, he's described as possibly the bravest & most physical player to ever play for Oxford, centre back Briggs was a cult hero who quickly earned the nickname 'Rambo'

I've been to the Manor Ground twice, a 3-1 defeat under Bruce Rioch in 1990 & a 5-2 win under Toddy in 1991, with an Iain Barid hat trick, including 2 penalties, a Robbie Mustoe goal on his first return since his transfer

Nice to see Bolton having a bit of success after a good few years of uncertainty

Be nice to see either team in the Championship next season

Nosmo-King

Too true be nice to see either team come up Erimus. Hope you're OK fella.

Mention of Oxford always reminds me of the 3rd division promotion match back in the 60's - still one of the best nights of my life!!

In With the Lurpak

Had a good spell in the premier league Bolton even had Nicolas Anelka on the books.

Kippers

Used to watch Gary Briggs play for Blackpool. Was a legend.

Oxford should be comfortable.
Watched Bolton v Barnsley and they arent ready for championship football.  Have a big lump called Santos at centrehalf. He was breathing out his arsebafter half an hour.
Josh's upfront partner at Bristol Rovers Collins is now at Bolton.
