Now for a summer rebuild, get the recruitment team busy, time for another serious promotion challenge

We keep our best players and add 4 to 5 quality signings, not potentials, then we should be competing top end next season. Not to say we shouldn't be picking up potential talent, but that is what we did this season, and we don't want another bedding in season. We must surely be able to spend a few quid, with the sales generated the past few year.

Sounds so simple on paper mate!

He did prove in his debut season what he can do with very good players & to a lesser extent this season, until his injury ravaged teams were wore down they were doing well

Is next season what we should judge MC on in your opinion Erimus?

If the injury front is kind to us then yes Ken, 100%

Whatever signings we make they must be able to hit the ground running. Loanees apart, when was the last time we signed a player who played well from day one? I can't think of anyone in recent years from the top of my head.

We can't start next season like the previous two!

I've been saying it for a while. This season was all about consolidation and bedding in the cheap foreign buys. Next year, with top players and a settled squad, we can judge him

Unless we sell Mcgree, Hackney, Dieng, Dick Van Dyke and Lath.

Also have to replace Paddy and maybe the loanees.

It may be another bedding in season.

Not trying to be the miserable cunt like.

If this thread builds, I'll merge it into the transfer thread.

So long as he gets the backing he deserves ( if he stays) MC will guide us to playoffs at least next season , if 2 or 3 of his best players are sold its a different matter

Looking at the potential 3 coming  down I see Burnley as the only one of the 3 being in a strong position.

To me this leaves the second spot up for grabs. Good recruitment and we can be amongst it.

So come on Boro - buy quality, keep hold of quality and we can have a quality season!
