Don't bother with the General Election since 1983 cos they are all self serving cunts and it makes no difference who you vote for they all just grab your money one way or another

But!

This Mayoral election is different. The choice is clear if you want somebody that is actually doing something for the area for once then it has to be a Vote for Ben Houchen.

There may be enough dafcuns on Teesside that think a protest vote for Labour to 'show the Tories' is a clever thing but you'll get that Westy lookalike Chris Mcewan.

This is the man that when on Darlo Council was promoting the sale for housing of TIA to Peel Holdings. This was before he accepted a position on Peel Holdings board.

Houchen may do a bit of this and that on the way to getting things done but at least its happening

So get off your arses and get avote in for Big Ben!

BoroRedKen

Thats you cancelled mate!

Expect a visit from the cops saying what a naughty dodgy man you must be just because you can cut through all the bullshit!

I got pelters from the old boys gang "reps" for making Houchen aware of the protests at a game of football.

So they want to use their democratic to protest. Fair enough. But to announce it with "hours" to go and then call me "names"  for making Houchen aware of it, which he has every right to defend Criminal allegations against him WITHOUT EVER BEEN NICKED OR EVEN CHARGED WITH ANYTHING DODGY BY ANY LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCY, just shows how cowardly it was to be honest.

I have asked the police if they were notified of an organised protest that was put on SM just hours before it was going ahead.
No reply as of yet.

I like and respect 1 of them fellas. But to pile on me and call me a grass for exercising my right to free speech just shows the "cowardly entitlement" they feel they have.

*Nothing changes btw of the way i "feel" about 1 of the members. This is nothing personal. Just me doing what they are doing.
Exercising my right to "protest at the protest".

Anyone with an ounce of common sense will vote for BH, he is the only politician that has actually backed up his BS.

However, as mentioned above, you will get people that will vote Labour as a protest vote against the Tories. It will be a lot closer than the last election but he should still win. God help us if he doesn't win, you can kiss goodbye to Teesside Airport and a stagnation at the new proposed work sites. Remember folks, Labour want you to have and own fuck all, they want your cash and obedience.

Get your tin hat at the ready Steely lad!

Gibson has turned. The Gazette have turned. BH is in for a struggle unfortunately. Both "influential" figures on Teesside.

OTR love Gibbo now. 3 weeks ago he was still a "Tory Cunt" to them. Bet the shoe throwing jokes stop now......

Geoff_B

As long as the lib dems stay in, it will take votes away from Robs twin brother.

I dont think Gibbo intervention will hold much sway to be honest, postal votes have already gone and I think most people now are decided one way or another

Redsteel (Moderator)

I'm not subscribed to the NE Ken, but surprised to see Gibbo has turned against BH. However, I'm not a particular fan of Gibson as man as it happens, stopped many moons ago, regardless of his contribution to Boro FC.

BoroRedKen

I keep forgetting about postal votes.
Im old skool. I like the walk and voting in person!

Not a fan of "protest votes". None of the above should be an option.

A little bit of me cant wait for 1 years time if BH loses. Will TIA still be a millstone? Possible jobs ridiculed? Investment called "bungs"?

It is simple. Its still part of the concerted effort to rid us of any Tories. But hey whats 4/5 years? Nobody knows where or how we will be as a country.*

*I was a member of the Conservative Party. I cancelled mine last year. So this is just my personal musings and not representative of RedRoar.Online as a whole or forum.....

borope

Everyone I've spoken to friends, family and work colleagues are voting for Houchen. As one said after years of neglect by Labour MPs and councillors at least he has done something for the area.

BoroRedKen

I see Gibbo as a bloke who is owner and chairman of the club i adore.

I,personally, could not give a monkeys doo-dah if he supported Corbyn or Galloway. Could not care where he lives or what he does to his house. Could not care less what he is like in business meetings.

We still have a club to love.

Its so easy to forget '86. Minuets, not even days, away from nothing. And by hook or by crook Gibbo still gives us that club to worship good or bad.

That is where it stops for me with Gibbo. Anything else that is fuck all to do with MFC i could not care less about.

The fucker lives in London doesnt he?

BoroRedKen

Thats what i mean about his consistency Kips!

He was before my time on COB but he had left his mark.

I even think he voted Tory and Brexit once if im not mistaken.........

 :wry:

BoroRedKen

And he is to electric vehicles what Chris Packham is to the climate........

In fact if Packham talked about leccy cars and ST talked about the climate you would not know who the fuck was who!.....

Even the EG are getting it now re BH. Why is any remotely decent news automatically deemed "dodgy"?
Ah yes.

If BH was "red" it would be great news. Even AP as an independent was labelled "Tory Lite".

Lets all revisit these posts and accusations after 1 year under Mcewan (Robs twin!)....

Gboro64

Ben's got my postal vote.

BoroRedKen

The only problem with that is we already Mr Shakey Hands Man as Boro mayor. Maybe CM can be the "smiler" in the photo ops.......

BoroRedKen

I hope Coulbs can pop on and give us his tuppence worth.

Got my voting sheet for the mayor and the police commissioner, binned them. I have no political allegiance, haven't voted in a GE since 2010, but if Gibbo has gone against him there's something wrong. Gibbo has done more for this area than any of the political parties.I'd back him over these shit bag politicians.  :wankers:

BoroRedKen

You know the old tory in me would normally peck away at that Coulbs but i cannot disagree with you.

I have never felt as distanced from politics as i have this last 2 years.

Got a mate who will put the phone down if i mention politics. Starting to think his opinion is right.

BoroRedKen

And before you start!

His opinion of politics not his opinions on me!!

Mailed our postal votes this morning. And as no particular lover of Houchen - primarily because of his used car salesmen spiel - he's got one redeeming asset, he's not a socialist. So for that alone gets my X.
