The beck that is overflowing between Teesside Park and the A19, is that the old Tees?

Indeed it says Old River Tees.


It would not have entered my head to do that.

They cut the river straight at some point to get rid of all the bends so ships could get to and from Stockton a lot quicker

So people could get out of Stockton quicker and to make sure Thornaby was in North Yorkshire
