As a "victim" of knife crime i can honestly say that i understand why people do not intervene.

The sheer amount of blood and flesh hanging off would not make you want to intervene.

At least they have named him straight away, well on GB News they did. This happened Saturday, and yet he's still out there with connections all over the North West. No doubt it's an honour thing, or his brothers wouldn't be hiding him.

I fully get that Ken, but if there were a few men about, you all wouldn't stand by and let it happen, you'd all as a collective stop it. I know I would, adrenalin would take over.

I got attacked in Boro town centre in the early 80's. Chased my two attackers - this was when the bus station nearly joined the baths. The two ran past a big guy and he stopped me and another 3 weighed in - shouting " kill the bastard ".

They were tooled up and I was stabbed in the head. Police found a seven inch section spike when they combed the area.

Taken off to hospital I had 16 stitches put in my head. And a depressed skull. Bloody lucky to get away with my life.

Why was I attacked? I had takings from the store where I was manager- £4500 that was heading to a night safe.

So I would be reluctant to get involved I'm afraid as once bitten twice shy!
