I agree it's ridiculous. When I received the leaflet I thought what is the point of that.

It's still less than the price of the cycle way on Linthorpe Road, you know the one Houchen and Preston organised.

The cycle lanes should of been on a road WITH A ABILITY TO HAVE A 3M width reduction  to allow for them , surely a council engineer /Official  could of pointed that out at the start ....but obviously not , sums the town up in a nutshell farcical leaders & civil servants  contributed to that load of effluent.

Will this lot be any change ?, time will tell .....if not, blame the government ....unless Keir's in charge !

I will try and keep this one short.

I once was part of a small team auditing a local councils spend. They were spending £150,000 a year on some portacabins. I looked at the contract they could have bought them for £750,000. Guess what they didn't have a Capital spend budget for them. So basically after 5 years they would have owned them and paid a small maintenance  fee. They are probably still paying for them now, 30 odd years later.

bins are exactly the same dimensions as the green ones , they admit it in a FOI request that has been released, but they will not admit what the cost of a fleet of new trucks has cost when you could of had a bloody label on the green bins. Not a good start & does not inspire any confidence that they have clue , easy option charge 40 quid ,stick a label costing pennies on a bin ....job done , increase income for minimal cost, its how private industry works  & works fine
