I wonder if they'll talk politics to him like they did
Platty is a legend & should have total respect he's earned through his fantastic career

Westy will sit there ,kiss arse like he does & CONVENIANTLY  ignore the abuse hurled at Jim by HIS  members ....who he never thought was OTT

Get me in and i will personally show Mr Platt what the "head" of the supporters group allows his forum members to post about him over his "politics" for a few pennies in his pocket.

I do not know how Nichols has the brass neck to "advertise" his gig after what his forum members wrote about Mr Platt.

They did not differentiate from his personal and football persona whilst slagging him off did they?

I really think its bang out of order after what was posted about Mr Platt.

Agree 100% Ken

BoroRedKen

Nichols should not be getting away with it.

He makes money from them posts. He financially benefited from the post about Mr Platt.

How the fuck can he, with ANY conscience, advertise Mr Platts gig?

Gingerpig

Not 100% sure but i think its open to all

I was thinking of going, just to chat to a legend, my favourite ever Boro keeper & get him to sign his book once purchased & you know, I couldnt give two hoots what political stance he is, that never has bothered me one iota in my 63 years on earth & never will till the day I depart this world

Get yourself there and tell him. I'll pay you in if there's an admission charge.

I would be starstruck if im honest!

Its well known he is my favorite player, probably 1 of my biggest sporting heroes.

I have a fantastic memory of talking to him on Hutton Rd training ground when i was a kid!

I was the same with Yogi Bear when he had the shop on Clynes Rd. Used to walk the long way to school to pop in his shop!.

Bumped into Jim Platt a few years ago at York races. Was more than happy to stand and chat Boro. He seemed a really nice bloke.

Let's have it right for a lot of Boro fans he was number one, of the Era
For  :westy:
To let some of the comments posted about him is disgusting.

This is from, by the way a person "The voice of the fans?"
He had a supporters jewel in the crown.
Mugged him off for "The king's shilling"

Everyone is a socialist, till they get a job

As imaginary friends go, I've got loads.

Dirty, lowlife, simpering, sniveling arsehole.

There's no bigger, better, I've got what you haven't, people just try to convince themselves that money is the cure. In reality it isn't, it's personal happiness or Me Dinner

If you ain't got your pride, you've got nothing.

Nelson Mandela told Me that. . . . Might have been Debbie Greenwood actually?

He is such a lovely man that he always has time for Boro fans wanting to have a chat about his time at the Boro, it says more about those individuals, who lets be honest, if they met him at the races, or a Boro reunion, would not have the bottle to tell Platty what they think to his face & im disappointed but not suprised in admin, they'll happily block posters accounts on trivial matters but not a word when they should step in, wonder why

It's best not to worry what nasty individuals think, I don't know him, but whatever his politics are it's nowt to do with me.

I knew his brother Tony quite well from school and playing for the same pub team. They had a successful Bookmakers at the time.

John Neals first season he tested both Pat Cuff & Dave Brown with 10 games each to see if either were good enough to rival Jim Platt, I liked Pat Cuff mind, in the end John Neal decided neither were & broke our goalkeeping teansfwr record signing Jim Stewart, who he then, temporarily, put in as his No1 keeper the following season
