Brian Howard Clough was born on this day 1935

Registered No394 when he made his Boro debut on the 17th September 1955 in a 1-1 draw

Between 1955/61 he scored 201 goals in 235 games, including 11 hat tricks, 4 goals in one game five times & in one game he scored 5, which was the opening game of the season at home to Brighton in a 9-0 win, Brightons first ever game in the second division
